About Dance to School

Dance to School was founded by Eve Murphy, a qualified PE teacher and Dance teacher. Eve has extensive experience across the Nursery, Primary and secondary sectors both in terms of teaching and CPD delivery. She is a Mum and award winning entrepreneur; and has received recognition from NetMums and What’s on for Little Ones for quality in delivery and parent services.

Dance to School is founded upon providing high quality resources, teacher training and in-school delivery across all Key Stages from Early Years Foundation Stage to Examination Dance and PE.
They provide an innovative, intuitive approach that empowers teaching staff and inspires students, leading to a legacy of improved curriculum delivery and increased physical literacy

Using insight from teachers, support staff and primary PE experts, the materials, resources and associated training are currently rolling out extensively across the North West, with a view to National expansion in the future.

Do we have to be able to dance?

The answer to this is a resounding no. The courses are predominantly practical, but involve looking at the development of ideas and how to put the pupils at the centre of the creative process. The courses are designed to help non specialists master delivery, and specialists
focus and capitalise upon their skills and refine their delivery.

What do I need to wear?

The courses are predominantly practical so something that is comfortable and easy to move in, plus non slip footwear is essential?

How long are the courses?

A full day is 9.30 to 3.00
A half day is 9.00 to 12.00 or 13.00 to 16.00
A Twilight is 3.30 to 5.30
